Explore Sean Connery’s £27 Million Villa on the French Riviera
Just wait until you see the indoor pool...
James Bond actor Sean Connery's former villa on the French Riviera is on the market for £27.4 million.
We can see why the Hollywood actor fell in love with it; the spectacular Villa Le Roc Fleuri is just 30 minutes from Monaco and Cannes and boasts breathtaking views over the Port of Nice on the French Riviera.

Le Roc Fleuri – which translates to “the flowery rock” – is perched high on the rocks in the Cap de Nice area, overlooking the blue Mediterranean. The villa features six floors with more than 10,700 square feet of space, and is surrounded by 1.25 acres of landscaped grounds.

The gorgeous six-storey villa is also only about an hour’s drive from Terre Blanche – a plot of land bigger than Monaco which Sean Connery owned for 20 years when he dreamed of turning it into a five-star golf resort.

The 007 star reportedly bought the villa around the time of his wedding in 1975, and lived here with his wife, Moroccan-French painter Micheline Roquebrune, who grew up in the area. The couple reportedly lived here for 12 years during the Seventies and Eighties, and Knight Frank say that the property is still known locally as the Sean Connery’s house”.
Imposing security gates set in stone towers sit at the top of a sweeping drive that winds down to the main house.

Steps lead from a covered entrance into the home’s grand, mosaic-tiled entrance hall with its floor-to-ceiling windows leading out to an elegant terrace.
Many of the villa’s 1920s Art Deco features have been retained, including the marble staircase with its ornate wrought-iron and wooden handrail. That and the original elevator facade with intricate, hand-crafted, wrought-iron and marble details.

The residence dates to 1928, but these days it looks a little different from when the James Bond star lived here. The home’s current owners dramatically increased its size over the years by scooping up two adjacent properties to create two independent guest villas. Now the estate includes 1.25 acres of newly-renovated terraced gardens, plus an incredible semi-circular saltwater infinity pool that was built into the hollow of a rock.

The villa also boasts an impressive wine cellar, a hammam spa and gym, and a stunning indoor swimming pool for doing laps.
Upstairs there are eight bedrooms which look out over the Mediterranean sea, with the master suite stretching out over the entire top floor. The master suite has two separate bathrooms as well as a generous dressing room.

These days Connery—who became Sir Sean in 2000—lives quietly with Lady Connery in Lyford Cay in the Bahamas where he is getting ready to celebrate his 90th birthday this August.
The villa is for sale through the Knight Frank Cap Ferrat estate agency.
