New tiles by Barber Osgerby for Mutina at Domus
The Domus showroom in Clerkenwell is the place to go for Barber and Osgerby’s latest tile collection 'Lane' for Mutina.
We're rather taken with the small format glazed porcelain tiles. The eye-catching mix of shades would bring a stylish slant to the walls and floors in any modern bathroom or kitchen.
Lane is the end result of a study of the neighbourhoods and architecture of London, a frequent source of inspiration for Barber & Osgerby.
This cool collection is available in five colour palettes, across three base versions, each showing a mix of different shades in a small format brick shape. The slightly irregular edges and soft base structure give the tiles an almost handcrafted appearance.

While Barber Osgerby's award-winning 2012 collection Mews (also for Mutina) was inspired by the different shades of London’s urban landscape, Lane takes this concept a step further by adding new contrasting colours. This idea was prompted from a detailed study of the capital’s areas and architecture by the design duo.
Key colours include the pale tones of Marylebone (Portland stone), the grey tones of the Barbican Estate (concrete), and the terracotta tones of Victorian Westminster (brick), with the different colours representing details such as main buildings and characteristics of the various façades.
The tiles measure 160 x 79 mm and are suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.
Buy the Lane collection through your architect or designer, from Domus, 50 Great Sutton Street, London, EC1V 0DF.
