At the entrance of the private driveway is a grand entry gate bearing Jordan’s famous Chicago Bulls shirt number 23.
The custom-designed home was built in 1995, when Jordan was in the middle of his second championship run with the Bulls. The mansion has undergone “extensive renovations" since it was built, including the addition of the cigar room, the basketball court, putting green, home gym and curricular infinity pool, each designed to Jordan’s personal taste.

The pool spills over as a waterfall, making quite the feature from ground level.
The Chicago Bulls player has struggled to sell his mansion, and it's been on the market for eight years. He originally listed his home in 2012 for $29 million (£23 million), but when that failed to entice a buyer, he dropped the price to $21 (£16.7) million in 2013, and then even further to $16 (£12.7) million in 2014, before arriving at its current price, $14.8 or £11.7 million in 2015 – just half of the original price.

But despite the hefty price cut and several elaborate promotional videos, the basketball star is yet to find a buyer.
Listed for sale with Compass, a Compass marketing rep reportedly explained that the company has seen an increase in searches for homes offering abundant outdoor space and pools since the pandemic. With Jordan's estate ticking both those boxes, they hope the property will get more interest this year.
Perhaps the effects of Covid-19 will spur someone to step into Jordan’s enormous shoes and snap up the property?
