Gucci opens its first-ever US restaurant on Rodeo Drive
High fashion meets haute cuisine in Gucci's LA restaurant
Gucci has just opened the doors to its first — and only — Gucci 'Osteria' in the U.S., serving up plenty of interior inspiration on top of Michelin-quality food. The restaurant is already a magnet to LA's celebrities, with dinner guests including the likes of Saoirse Ronan, Gwyneth Paltrow and Dakota Johnson.
The Italian fashion house expanded its culinary empire after its success with its initial Florence outpost.

Named Gucci Osteria da Massimo Bottura, both restaurants are a collaboration with one of the world's most acclaimed chefs, Massimo Bottura. Bottura is a longtime friend of Gucci CEO Marco Bizzarri – the two met in 1975 when they were just 13, and grew up together in Modena. Marco Bizzarri approached Bottura with the idea of a collaboration between the two brands.
The 50-seat LA restaurant is perched atop the Beverly Hills Rodeo Drive Gucci boutique, and diners access the eatery through a dedicated elevator next to the newly-expanded 9,000 square foot store. The interiors are as flamboyant as the men’s and women’s boutiques below, outfitted with Gucci-patterned wallpaper, elegant red marble tables with breezy wicker chairs. Plush red velvet banquettes are studded with buttons to channel vintage riviera vibes.
Gucci wallpaper is dotted with antique mirrors while floors are herringbone parquet. Vintage-looking place settings are inspired by the Florence Osteria.

The original Gucci collaboration, opened in Florence in 2018, has already yielded its first Michelin star, and the same team will be overseeing the food in Beverly Hills.
Mattia Agazzi will be at the helm; he was previously the sous chef at Bottura’s Gucci Osteria in Florence. He will be working with Michelin star chef Karime López. The menu they have put together is rooted in Italy, but references other cuisines found in Southern California as well. The two chefs will source most of their produce from the Santa Monica Farmers' Market. Seafood is sourced fresh from Santa Barbara.
