Collab Alert: Habitat X Shrimps

Shrimps – the cult British fashion brand best known for itscult beaded bags and colourful faux-fur coats,has now turned its hand to homeware, layering the label’s signature red and pink colour palette into an eye-catching collaboration with Habitat.

The 27-piece limited-edition capsule collection features rugs, cushions, throws, bedding, bed spreads and wall art, allmirroring the textures, colours and fun prints that the London Fashion Week favouritehas become synonymous with.

It's fashion-meets-interiors in one loud and lovely collection.

Expect signature doodles, playful prints, a plethora of red and pink, and plenty of faux fur – of course.

The flirtycollection is filled with bright and bold pieces, with accents of gold and washes of blue, pink and red, fromhand-crafted rugs to embroidered cushions and painterly-print bedding.

Brightly coloured faux fur and fantastical doodles from past collections have staring roles in a mash-up of embroidered cushions, rugs and luxe throws.

There's even a gold metal lounge chair and bed sheets inspired by Venetian architecture.

As expected,Shrimps's first foray into interiors brings upan ethereal theme - make-believe creatures, Venetian jesters and doodled faces.

Shrimps have delved into the archives for this collaboration, bringing together artworks and ideas from different seasons and past collections.

Doodle, inspired by nursery rhymes and first seen on a clutch bag as part of Shrimp’s Resort 2017 offering is now freshly translated onto embroidered rugs and cushions.

The doodle rug is hand tufted and hand-carved, giving the doodles real stand out.

Meanwhile the Viola embroidered cushion is inspired by a fabric from the SS18 collection.

A romantic trip to Venice inspired the whimsical Veneziahero print from Shrimp's SS18 collection with a festival of architecture, seashells and Venetian Jesters. Digital printing helps capture the pink watercolour from the original artwork and translate it directly onto a cotton percale base.

Then there's,of course, faux fur – one of Shrimps' brand staples. It comes in the form of Breton striped cushions, bedspreads and throws – just like the first coat founder Hannah Weiland designed.

Rugs also feature Shrimps' faces pattern.The lightweight dhurrie is handmade in India and uses a traditional screen print method to apply the signature Shrimps characters. It also looks rather striking hanging on a wall as a piece of dramatic art.

Thisis a homeware collection that is sure to breathe life into every room of your house.
