Alice Temperley debuts her eclectic and colourful homeware collection
The famous fashion designer is now bringing her whimsical style to the home...
Alice Temperley has become a bit of a household name over the years, and while we may not all own her floaty, dream-like dresses, her name and brand is still recognisable the world over.
We've been lucky enough to step foot in her Edwardian country home in Somerset – and hosted a House Tours Open Door video call with her at her home just weeks ago – but now the designer is making her whimsical interior style available to all, with her debut homeware collection.

The designer's Somerset home is a showcase of her designs, and a scroll through the house tour will illustrate her love of bold cushions (including a leopard print floor cushion), patterned tablecloths and embellished quilts.

“I first made quilts for my home 12 years ago and still love them all. People used to stay over and want to leave with them, so it feels completely natural to be incorporating them into our collections,” Alice explains.

It's the first time the designer has stepped into the homeware market since launching her eponymous fashion line twenty years ago. The capsule collection of luxury home pieces epitomise the brand’s signature modern bohemianism, encompassing velvet and satin embroidered cushions as well hand embroidered throws and statement tablecloths.
A favourite of the Duchess of Cambridge and worn by everyone from Amber Heard to Katy Perry, the Somerset designer is known for her romantic, vintage-tinged designs, with snazzy evening dresses and a successful bridal range. She's also known for incorporating intricate hand-worked embellishment and artisan techniques, which she has now applied to her homeware range.

All pieces in the capsule collection are emblazoned with the brand’s archive prints, including the ever-popular leopard print and bold floral designs. Square velvet cushions feature the ‘Lotus’, Euphoria’ and ‘Harmony’ prints, using an intricate placement print design from the Temperley archives. The same prints feature across the collection of throws and tablecloths, in addition to others including the ‘Escher’ and ‘Saba’, Temperley's iconic leopard print.
The velvet and satin embroidered cushions are made in England, while the throws and tablecloths are handmade and embroidered in India.

“Homeware is a form of luxury and each piece in our line is designed to decorate any room of the home, adding a touch of fun through colour and pattern,” she adds.
Priced between £120 and £850, the homewares are available from the Temperley London shop on Bruton Street and online.
