21 Pink Kitchen Ideas: How to get the on-trend kitchen colour right
Pink kitchens were big in 2020, and the interiors trend is showing no signs of slowing down...
Pink kitchens and bathrooms were one of 2020's top kitchen trends, with striking pink kitchens dominating our Pinterest and Instagram feeds. Perhaps it's because the colour is so warm, cheerful and playful, or perhaps it's because the colour is so versatile; pair it with black, grey, or with concrete, and suddenly you'll have an edgy, industrial or masculine looking scheme. Pair pink with blue or with green and you'll create something zesty, energetic and dramatic. Or tone it down with woods or pastel shades.
We've seen many pink kitchen ideas over the years, and have collated a few of our faves here below. From pink painted walls (hello Antoinette by Annie Sloan), pink-stained wood cabinetry, bubblegum pink kitchen islands and even fuschia in the kitchen, to pink floors and ceilings, and daring combinations with concrete, there's a pink kitchen idea here for everyone.
Want to go all-out? Pink cabinetry is the way to go. Want something more balanced? Opt for just a pink kitchen island, while keeping cabinetry muted in wood or grey. Just looking to dip your toe in the colour? A pink splash back is one of our personal favourites as it gives just the right dose of warm colour, but is unlikely to tire or bore you any time soon. We're particularly big fans of the dusty grey-pink shades that manage to create a relatively neutral look.
Want a pink shaker kitchen? Brass cabinet door handles, brass wall lights and a brass tap will make it modern, as will replacing brass with matte black hardware.

1. Concrete Contrast
This pink kitchen incorporates lots of rough concrete texture, preventing it from feeling too 'girly'. Instead, the floor to ceiling concrete is softened and made rather charming by the pink cabinets and curtains. No wonder this house, designed by Architect Adam Richards, won the Royal Institute of British Architects’ South East ‘Building of the Year’.
2. Pink & Navy
This kitchen is given a modern country look, with grooved wood on the walls, a shaker kitchen and ceramic sink. But the pink wall shade, brass cabinet door handles and the brass wall light make it modern – as does the stylish brass tap. We're big fans.

3. Dusty Pink
A soft pink with undertones of grey works to soothing effect in this space, designed by Oliver Gustav. Team with burgundy drapes to keep the look elegant.
4. Scalloped Frame
To add some fun character without overdosing on pink, paint a cool frame around the doorway like this pink scalloped design. Bisque collaborated with design duo 2LG for this kitchen design.
5. Pink tones wood
How stunning is this subtly pink kitchen by Jennifer Welch Designs? Featuring sanded wood cabinetry, marble worktops, a marble extractor hood and splash-back, brass accents and gorgeous bar stools by Gabriel Scott.
6. Pink & Black
Despite the walls being painted top-to-toe in pink, this space doesn't feel ultra feminine, thanks to the industrial-style black kitchen with chrome accents.
7. Super Subtle
The pink shade on this kitchen island and these arched cabinets is so soft it's barely there. The effect is soft, feminine, yet subtle.
8. Pink Mosaic
The same kitchen features this mosaic-tiled feature wall, adding a blend of soft pink shades to what used to be a mantel.
9. Chevron Splash Back
A grey kitchen is given a fun injection of colour with these dusty pink tiles arranged in chevron formation.
10. Pink kitchen island
Not feeling too sure about committing to pink walls or cabinets? Dip your toe in the pink kitchen trend with a rose pink kitchen island, and keep the rest of the kitchen modern and masculine with grey shades and black handles, taps and hardware.
11. Lighten The Mood
This idea is perfectly demonstrated here, where a soft pink kitchen island adds a subtle hint of colour in a dark kitchen. The pink island lightens the mood and makes the space look friendlier.
12. Pink Floors
We've looked at pink cabinets, pink walls and pink kitchen islands, but what about floors? If you're going to have a tiled floor, you may as well pick a colour or pattern that will put you in a good mood. We love the dusty pink shade of these hexagon tiles, and love how the tiles creep up the walls slightly, showing off their shape.
13. Pastel shades
This modern kitchen features a calming scheme, with handleless dusty-pink cabinets and rectangular sage green wall tiles grouped in a geometric formation.
14. Pink patterned tiles
This Spanish kitchen features fun pink encaustic tiles from Artisans of Devizes, adding fun (and waterproof) pattern to the walls.
15. Pink Metro Tiles
Adding pink doesn't have to be a loud statement. In this calm, understated kitchen, dusty-pink metro tiles from Tile Giant have a slightly grey undertone, and add a calm colour to the kitchen splash-back.
16. Pink & grey
The cabinets in this project by Tanya Jones Studio carry a very subtle shade of pink that's not too obvious or overbearing.
17. Pink & Navy Blue
This pink kitchen is made vibrant and punchy, thanks to the dark blue contrast. The colour pairing works well and creates a daring, dramatic look.
18. Bubblegum pink
This country shaker-style kitchen is given a colour injection with a bubblegum pink kitchen island. Painting the island is probably one of the quickest, easiest, and least expensive ways to add an instant colour refresh to your kitchen.
19. Colour contrast
For something more vibrant, paint the walls (and ceiling, if you decide to go all-out) in a wild, vibrant shade like this leaf green. A pink kitchen in comparison looks neutral, and tones it down.
20. Fun Fuschia
Fancy something a little bit wild? A neon or fuschia pink kitchen island packs a punch and adds energy and drama.
21. Modern Retro
This modern kitchen pairs bubblegum pink cabinetry with white wall tiles and black grouting.
