5 reasons we're loving H&M Home right now
1 THE CONSCIOUS COLLECTION
Buying less is the best way to shop sustainably obvs, but even if we're cutting back, we still need to buy stuff now and then and H&M's conscious range is a step in the right direction.
To qualify, the bedlinen, towels, cushions and other items in the collection contain 50% recycled materials, organic materials or Tencel (a better crop than cotton as it's made from wood pulp) and are as stylish and well-priced as the rest of the homewares from this forward-thinking brand.
2 COOL CERAMICS
With their irregular edge and soft natural colour, there's a handcrafted look to these gorgeous glazed plates and bowls, that gives the impression you've picked them up at a chic independent boutique.
In addition, their rustic style is great for relaxed gatherings in the garden on a warm summer's day or for comforting dishes in the cooler months. There are also beautiful stoneware plates, bowls and mugs in black, white and grey if you're after something slightly more formal for your table.
3 BEAUTIFUL LINEN bedding
H&M's 100% washed linen duvet sets have been a firm favourite amongst interiors insiders for some time. Thankfully the brand continues to stock the collection in a range of on trend hues from white; pale and dark grey through to old rose, dusky green, navy and dark beige.
So much nicer to sleep on than cotton, linen gets softer every time you wash it (and it's better for the planet), so snap this bedding up now, while you still can.
4 colourful cushions
Kid in a sweet shop pretty much sums up how we feel about H&M's cushion collection. All the interior design trends are covered from graphic geometrics and beautiful block colours, to tropical birds, animal print, blousy florals, botanics and more.
To balance the colourful patterns and prints, there's a huge choice of plain cushions in soothing neutral, pastel and muted shades to bold and rich hues in cotton, canvas, velvet and linen options.
5 THE HOME STORE
We featured this back in April when it first opened, and H&M's new dedicated home storeon London's Regent Street, continues to impress. With its brooding black walls, statement lighting and pristine parquet flooring, the store feels like a high-end shopping destination.
Set over two floors, it’s the perfect setting to show off H&M’s designer-look furniture and accessories to their full potential – and there's an in-house florist too.
208 Regent Street, London, W1B 5BD. Open 10am – 9pm Monday-Saturday, 12-6pm on Sundays.
