Homecoming Digital 2020 launched last week, celebrating African & International creatives. The festival features exhibitions, exclusive fashion collections and expert panel talks, and shines a light on emerging and established designers from Nigeria and the world.
Representing diversity in furniture design is Yinka Ilori and his 'I Got Chairs For Days' collection of brightly coloured chairs, on display at the Browns East store in Shoreditch, London.

Homecoming 2020 is a festival of cultural exchange, paying homage to African culture with an in-store installation by British-Nigerian artist Yinka Ilori who has taken up residence in the entrance of Browns East, 21 Club Row E2.

Reflecting on his heritage and craft over the last ten years, this autobiographical series is an illustration of the different periods of his life up to the present day and is entitled ‘I Got Chairs for Days’.
On display at Browns until 15th September, Yinka’s work will sit alongside a host of Nigerian designers which you can also discover on the Homecoming Festival hub.

Browns East is an 'augmented retail environment', which is ever changing and flexible, offering something new and celebrating up and coming designers. Browns East is the second London location for Browns, complementing the flagship store on South Molton Street, which was first established in 1970 in the heart of London’s Mayfair.

The east London location, also known as Browns Nomad, is their take on the semi-permanent, roaming retail concept as a 21st century response to the “pop up store” model. The store aims to reinvent the retail experience by creating unique concepts, tailored to the city and neighbourhood.
Current installations at Browns East include: The Auction Collective in the Gallery and PitchBlack PlayBack in the Immersive Room.
