The architecture gracefully merges ancient and modern elements to striking effect...
This striking house in Girona in Spain's Costa Brava area incorporates strikingly modern design with raw, original walls and architecture.
The owner, architect Anna Noguera, bought the property when it was in ruins, and has restored it beautifully, contrasting rustic, natural stone with concrete, glass, and minimalism. The design blends contemporary design with the old, historical building. In the words of the owner, the property has evolved without breaking with the past.
