This year, living spaces are getting more and more influence from exotic designs in far-flung places, withsearches for Indian inspired living rooms up by 2080 per cent, and Spanish bathrooms up 309 per cent.
At least, that's what Pinterest have announced in their trend report for 2020, based on growing searches for global interiors style.
Good timing then, that a new book on Moroccan interior styleInside Tangier has graced our desks, cheering up our grey January.
The book is a collection ofstylish homes of Tangier’s tastemakers,with its bohemian influences from America and Europe.

Long a destination associated with eclectic wonder, Tangier is in a new era of amazing homes and gardens.
The book looks at homes in this region of Morocco, revealing the colours, patterns and aesthetic of the place; all arched, shapely walls, balcony views out to sea, patterned tiles and sun-sheltered enclaves that abound with leaves or cacti.
The interiors have us dreaming of sunnier places.

Perched between Africa and Europe, the white-walled Moroccan port of Tangier has long been a haven for literary and artistic bohemians from around the world, seducing generations of writers, artists, designers and eccentrics, from Henri Matisse to Paul Bowles and Barbara Hutton.
Now, a new generation of Tangier resident have let us into their homes.

The stories of these exceptional properties, and their unconventional residents, provide a rare insight into the sometimes bohemian, sometimes extravagant, but always stylish, “Tangerine” lifestyle.
Inside Tangier takes us into the homes of English antique dealer and collector Gordon Watson to shoe designer Bruno Frisoni, Yves Saint Laurent, the late Christopher Gibbs, Madison Cox, Veere Grenney and Frank de Biasi.
All of their homes share Tangier's signature spirit of design.

Author Nicoló Castellini Baldiserra is the great-grandson of renowned Italian architect Piero Portaluppi and is a much admired global interior designer is his own right.
He joined forces with fashion and interiors photographer Guido Taroni to present the most beautiful homes in the Tangier area of Morocco.
Baldiserra has had a home in Tangier for over a decade and explains that, ‘the stories of these exceptional properties, and their unconventional inhabitants, provide a rare insight into the sometimes bohemian, sometimes extravagant, but always stylish, Tangerine lifestyle’.
Time to incorporate some of these bohemian looks into our modern homes? Maybe.
