Abigail Ahern Launches Debut Collection for Hillarys
It’s fair to say that curtains and blinds have a bad rep for being a decorating afterthought.
To change the game, interior designer, blogger, author and all round design doyenne Abigail Ahern has teamed up with Hillarys to launch a punchy capsule collection of window dressings and accessories, splashing her trademark anarchistic style across curtain fabrics, Roman blinds and cushion covers.
Theaudacious, super-glam andhighly textured and tactile capsule collection features19 hand-picked curtain and Roman blind fabrics, heavily influenced by Abigail’s darkly decadent style.
Renowned for her dark, inky colour palettes and enchanting take on interior styling, Ahern's exclusive collection for Hillarys reflectsherdistinctly masculine aesthetic.
Expect tribal prints, heavy tweeds, colourful trimmings, faux velvets and faux leathers.
Metallics are also a key feature, while luxe fringing add flashes of femininity and shots of colour.
"Glamorous, sexy and utterly alluring, this is one of the most influential collections of curtains and blinds on the planet", Ahern proudly comments on her own collection.
Keeping the colours restrained to her typical sultry palette ofblack, brown, plum and mink, Ahern explains"I'm all about keeping the palette really restrained, which makes the space look incredibly beautiful".
Aside from the collection giving trad drapes a decadent and textural update, we're also loving the on-trend fringe details.
"Fringing adds instant pizzazz to blinds and a subtle element of cocooning softness at the window", Ahern explains. We couldn't agree more.
And that's not all, the curtains and blinds come double-sided too, with colourful liningssure to attract ‘oohs’ and ‘aahs’ from passers-by on the pavement.
"Introducing coloured linings on curtains is a real game-changer," Ahern adds.
Because why shouldn’t your home look fabulous from the outside too?
The curtains and blinds are available with matchingsoft furnishings too.
Cushion covers in metallic faux leather, the option to have different fabrics front and back, contrasting or co-ordinating fringing and a wide choice of sizes are an enticing feature of the collection.
"Cushions are the five minute face-lift of the decorating world", Ahern comments on thedark and decadent cushion covers.
Prices start from £155 for a 65cm w x 75cm d Roman blind and £163 for 127cm w x 137cm curtains. Cushion covers start from £26.
The Abigail Ahern X Hillarys launches on 2nd October 2018.
