3 WINTER POP-UP SHOPS FOR GIFTS WITH A GLOBAL FLAVOUR
CABANA
Martina Mondadori Sartogo, founder of Cabana Magazine, has recently opened the brand’s first pop-up shop in the UK. Sited in Mayfair's Burlington Arcade, it's one of the world’s oldest shopping arcades.
This jewel box of a shop has been decked out to reflect the brand's layered aesthetic, with the stand-out feature being an eclectic and sophisticated homeware collection. This first bricks-and-mortar store comes after the brand launched its online shop in September.
Set over two floors, the pop-up features the Persia Pattern designed by Cabana for this season, which was inspired by an antique Persian rug and developed into a wallpaper, table linens and wall hangings. The ground floor is filled with the brand’s latest tabletop range including the Richard Ginori x Cabana Papyrus plate collection, while the first floor has a mix of tabletop pieces, accessories and furniture, alongside unique antiques, old master paintings and framed Islamic tiles. Check out the striking Scafito vases in a variety of sizes and colours.
Prices from £75
Open now until 24 December, 68 Burlington Arcade, 51 Piccadilly, London W1J 0QJ.
HEM
With an illustrious cast of designers that includes Max Lamb, Luca Nichetto, Pauline Deltour, GamFratesi and Philippe Malouin, it's great to see another HEM pop-up in town, just in time for the festive season.
Swedish for 'home', HEM is where you'll find gorgeous geometric throws, colourful cushions and stylish accessories for gifts or for zhuzhing up your place in time for an influx of guests.
Open until 31 December at Coal Drops Yard, Kings Cross, London N1C 4DQ.
THE WINTER SHOP & REVOLVING ROOM AT WICKLEWOOD
Celebrating creativity and entrepreneurship, Wicklewood is dividing its shop into two distinct pop-up spaces from today until 29 November.
On one side, The Revolving Room is a takeover by interior designer, Lucy Barlow, interior stylist, Willow Crossley and style editor, Serena Hood, who will each takeover and makeover the space for three days, using their favourite pieces from Wicklewood, alongside selected items from Pooky, Arlo & Jacob, Blithfield and Partnership Editions.
The other half of the space is The Winter Shop, which will be brimming with quirky and interesting gifts, from hand-crafted Guatemalan table runners and Peruvian mirrors, to colourful ceramics and Wicklewood dog beds.
From 19-29 November, 123 Sydney Street, Chelsea SW3 6NR.
