Give your bed a designer approved upgrade with Abigail Ahern's new bedding collection
Get moody in the bedroom with this striking new collaboration from maximalist designer Ahern and luxe bedding company, Secret Linen Store
If you're keen to add a different decor vibe to your bedroom this season, look no further. The queen of darkness, designer Abigail Ahern, has just partnered with luxe bedding company, Secret Linen Store to create a sumptuously moody range of elegant bedroom textiles.
Featuring four new designs, the collection taps directly into Ahern's boho aesthetic with 100% linen, as well as cotton linen mix bedding in four rich new designs that will provide instant effortless elegance to any bedroom.

Two of the designs boast a delicate herringbone design in cotton linen mix fabric, while the other two are made from richly pigmented 100% linen.
'They're all quite unusual colors for a bedroom,' explains Abigail. 'They're not particularly conservative and yet we've just been blown away with the reaction to them. They're just a brilliant way of making your bedroom look sumptuous and inviting.'
Henderson Soot & Henderson Butterscotch bedding
The barely-there herringbone designs on the two Henderson linens are so subtle that you only really notice them when you look up close. The fabric is woven and hemmed first and then washed to give the fabric a soft, laundered look.
'I was really passionate in having a little bit of a print in the collection and the two Henderson designs have a very subtle print,' explains Abigail.
'Because a bed is such a large item in a room, I didn't want a large print zinging out. So what the subtle print does,' she says, 'is that it gives the bed real life, without overwhelming the space.'

Available in two colorways - Soot a dark khaki green, and Butterscotch a rich, warm brown shade, they're both made from a super soft cotton linen mix.
'I have Soot on my bed at home,' says Abigail. 'I'm quite obsessed with its masculine sensibility because I think it feels quite cool in a bedroom.'
'Butterscotch is a mid-tone - it's not super dark, it's not really light - and it would work with pretty much any style and any color. It would look beautiful if your scheme was pale, it would look equally beautiful if it was dark, too,' she adds.
Peppercorn & Darkest Spruce bedding
The pattern-free foils to the Henderson herringbone linens, are the classic Peppercorn and Darkest Spruce designs. Woven and dyed in Portugal, both sets are made from 100% linen and come in a choice of two sumptuously rich shades.
'Peppercorn is a pinky brown,' explains Abigail. 'It's such a hard shade to describe, but it is the most restorative color on the planet - you walk in and see it in a room and you want to pop down on that bed because it's so inviting - it makes a space feel like a sanctuary.'
'With Darkest Spruce, there is something so beautiful about the color,' says Abigail. 'It's got this connection to nature and I think when we connect to nature we automatically feel grounded.'
'I'm super obsessed with texture,' says Abigail. 'Texture turns rooms around. It's like a herb or a spice - it adds pizzazz - when you partner these textural cushions and throws with a bit of pattern you're almost creating magic.'
'You don't really have to do a lot to the rest of the bedroom,' she explains. 'All of the images that we shot for the collection, the styling is so simple and so brought back. The bedding is the hero and the star.'
'It's an incredibly grounding, calming collection that simply makes you want to linger longer in bed!' she adds.
