Tour Lenny Kravitz and Lisa Bonet’s former Venice Beach home - on sale for almost $7.8 million
The property is a rainbow-glazed haven on the shores of golden state - take a look around this arty hangout
The former home of Lenny Kravitz, Lisa Bonet, and acclaimed sculptor Guy Dill is on the market for nearly $7.8 million.
Nestled amid what is, perhaps, the most creative neighborhood in Los Angeles, this Venice Beach haven is an artists’ utopia - filled with kaleidoscopic ‘80s home decor and rooftop views of the Pacific.
However, the pièce de résistance of the property is the adjoining two-story art studio, designed by the celebrated Californian architect Steven Ehrlich, under the instructions of bronze sculptor Guy Dill. Guy's works appear in exhibition spaces in the Museum of Modern Art and the Guggenheim over on the east coast.
These retro hues infuse the studio - and are visible throughout its colorful interiors and original architectural features.
It is, therefore, unsurprising that the singer and musician Lenny Kravitz and his actress wife Lisa Bonet were attracted to the property after their marriage. The couple’s daughter, Zoë Kravitz, spent her early years in the home before the couple listed the property in 2000.
The current owners are also artists and are using the studio space as an art atelier, just as Guy would have intended.

Beyond the studio, the main house is a mid-century Californian dream - complete with four-bedrooms, three-bathrooms, and a marble-kissed kitchen.
The home epitomizes West Coastal living through its sun-drenched window-panes and a large deck that stretches beyond the home office. From the deck, homeowners and guests can indulge in the organic ocean air with a celebratory bottle after finishing an artwork, perhaps.
Meanwhile, below the deck, the modern garden acts as an exotic sanctuary, where you can unwind from the Los Angeles hustle whilst surrounded by vibrant plants and palm trees, naturally.
Anastasia Bowen holds the listing.
Where do Lenny Kravitz and Lisa Bonet live now?
Lenny and Lisa left this property at the turn of the millennium, after their divorce seven years prior in 1993. Lisa and her new husband Jason have remained in California, in the Santa Monica Mountain area of Topanga. However, Lenny has homes across the continents - primarily residing in Paris and the Bahamas.
