Fleetwood Mac's former Santa Monica mansion is on the market- take a look inside
The iconic Moroccan style property has a secret speakeasy behind a bookcase in the library
One of Santa Monica's most iconic properties - Villa Ruchello - has landed on the market, with an asking price of $50 million.
The palm-tree-filled kingdom, which was built in 1932, is celebrated for its Old World craftsmanship, which mirrors the nostalgic grandeur of the French Riviera or Amalfi Coast.
The rich continental charm of the property is best known for previously attracting several members of the famous rock band Fleetwood Mac. The musicians fell in love with the architectural splendor and historical home decor in this Mediterranean-style mansion whilst living in the prestigious Californian neighborhood.
Beyond the Moroccan ceramic tiles of the entrance hall is a chef's kitchen, a music room, and a living and dining room with hand-painted ceilings and hand-blown glass chandeliers imported from Venice.
However, perhaps the most notable asset of the property is hidden behind a bookcase in the library - an onyx-walled speakeasy where you host the Fleetwood Mac tribute party of the century.
The bar is an exciting exhibit of American history as it shows remnants of the prohibition era when the US imposed a ban on alcohol.

Between the 14,000 square feet of living space between Villa Ruchello and the additional guest house are 12 bedrooms and 13 bathrooms - so there is lots of room for guests to bathe in the kaleidoscopic beauty of this glamorous property.
Meanwhile, the sun-glazed grounds include a 74-foot swimming pool and additional pool house, a cedar soaking tub, and a bocce ball court. The estate is a culinary lover's utopia - boasting an orchard filled with lemon, lime, orange, and avocado trees, a private vineyard, and a wood-fired pizza oven.
When you've had your fill of your home-made pizza, you are only a stone's-throw away from Santa Monica Pier, where you can indulge in local Mexican-style restaurants after a day on the shores of Muscle Beach.

At present, Villa Ruchello is the most expensive property in the neighborhood. The listing is held by Santiago Arana of The Agency, Beverly Hills.
