The 5 IKEA pieces you need to bring into your garden right now – including our Editor's top picks
IKEA's outdoor pieces are oozing with remnants of bright days and faraway shores – and we're lusting over every single piece
There's only one thing we love more than IKEA hacks for IKEA furniture, and that's outdoor IKEA furniture. As we edge tantalizing closer to garden party season, our thoughts are expanding from interior design to our exterior spaces and how we can enjoy sun-drenched evenings in style. But, we're in luck, because IKEA's SS'21 collection is their best garden furniture series yet.
From their ultra-chic rattan armchairs to a small dining set that allows you to recreate Parisian allure in our modern gardens – these are the pieces that everybody – including our editors – are adding to their basket.
1. BUSKBO rattan armchair – The Editor's top pick
What better way to celebrate the summer of rattan revival than with the BUSKBO rattan armchair? This sustainable '70s trend has spent enough time warming our interiors, so now we are unleashing stylish material into the wild – where it belongs. Rattan's exotic aura is a nod to the escapism interior trend and fills us with nostalgia and anticipation for faraway shores – making it the perfect throne to indulge in an Aperol Spritz, naturally.
Plus, it's got our Editor, Pip McCormac's instant seal of approval, so we certainly need no more encouragement to make the investment.
2. KROKHOLMEN coffee table – The Digital Editor's top pick

It's already no secret that we've fallen for the KROKHOLMEN coffee table. After sharing five ways to style the IKEA KROKHOLMEN, we decided that we simply couldn't fail to pay tribute to this versatile furnishing here too.
A favorite of our Digital Editor, Hebe Hatton, this ultra-cool furnishing is more than a place to leave our Americano. Style the KROKHOLMEN with plants, bring it into an outdoor living room, or even paint it another color – whatever you do, just make sure you bring one into your life.
3. BRUSEN red sofa
We've seen IKEA pay homage to the rattan and the escapism trend, but they're not stopping there.
Enter the BRUSEN red sofa – whose scarlet hues celebrate red – the latest primary color to enjoy an interiors renaissance. Designers everywhere are on red alert, and it seems that IKEA is no exception, as this cherry-kissed furnishing allows us to inject a piece of the color of the season in our exterior spaces. The sofa is noted for its durability and low-maintenance design, so you can spend less time cleaning – and more time partying.
4. LÄCKÖ / VIHOLMEN table and chairs
Rattan – so good we included it twice. While we've already shared our admiration for this exotic material, but when it comes in the shape of this dining set, we can't help but highlight it all over again.
This plastic rattan is combined with steel to ensure it's entirely weather-resistant, and it's the perfect size for a small urban apartment looking to dine al-fresco. Wherever you are, the chic balconies of Paris's 16th arrondissement are never too far away with the LÄCKÖ / VIHOLMEN set.
5. SOLVINDEN lights
When looking for a quick way to elevate our gardens, we could do far worse than IKEA's iconic SOLVINDEN lights. Opt for a colorful twist on the original to create the garden party setting of the season, and don't worry about cables cramping your style, as these glowing pieces of goodness run entirely on solar power. We're stocking up on SOLVINDEN by the blue-bag full.
Now we're all set for the season ahead – the hard part is ensuring our party playlist matches our super-stylish exteriors.
