Five design tips to steal from Margot Robbie’s brilliantly chic So-Cal home
The sun-drenched utopia comes with an exclusive wine room and a rope swing in the living room
Actress Margot Robbie has just listed her stylish Hancock Park home for a price tag of $3.475 million. The property is a stylish maze in the midst of Los Angeles, but while we’re swooning over its prestigious postcode – and its proximity to the boutiques of Wilshire Boulevard – we’re completely taken by its fun-filled, Cali-cool interiors.
Though each square inch of the home is dripping with alluring color combinations and unique home decor pieces, we’ve selected our top five style tips to steal from Margot’s kingdom – and we’re rushing to mirror its ambiance into our interiors.
1. When in doubt, invest in oversized circular furniture
It is certainly no secret that we’re entirely obsessed with oversized furniture – especially when it comes in the shape of a circle – the happiest shape we can bring into our interiors.
So, follow Margot’s ultra-fashionable lead and invest in an oversized statement piece that will hypnotize all guests and, above all, spark happiness in your home. And need we expand on its comfort assets? We’re entirely sold.
2. Bless your kitchen with a prep-sink
Prep-sinks have jumped in popularity over the past year, but this craze is predicted to continue to enrich our kitchens – long into the future. As exhibited in the kitchen island above, prep sinks are multi-functional, hygienic, and stylish – and now we know Margot approves, we have no choice but to bring them into our kitchens at the earliest opportunity.
But don’t just take our word for it, as Home designer at Neptune Fulham, George Miller similarly praises this fashionable trend, suggesting prep sink’s offer ‘a designated area to wash and prepare your food.’ He continues: ‘Not only is this a hygienic option for busier kitchens, but it will also help reduce mess, keep your workspace organized and also give you access to running water whenever required.’
3. Make a statement with your bedhead
Margot Robbie’s entire bedroom oozes a certain boutique hotel ambiance, but if we had to pin-point its most alluring feature, it would be the ornate wooden bedhead. Luxe pieces such as this act as an instant focal point and can pass as a substitute for art in the bedroom – because we all deserve to sleep under the wing of an artistic masterpiece.
4. Overindulge in nostalgic rattan pieces
Rattan is among the most admired materials of the year, and it’s easy to understand why when you observe the material in all its enduring glory. Margot uses rattan furniture to create an ingenious flow between indoor and outdoor living – as these ‘70s inspired pieces to fit effortlessly into both interior and exterior spaces. They’re the perfect throne to enjoy the Cali-rays, and while we can’t all bathe in them, we can still mirror this exotic setting, wherever we are.
5. Whatever you do, have fun

Margot’s house is complete with a pet room, wine cellar, and pool cabana, all of which are brimming with light-hearted charisma. However, if we had to select one feature to steal from this carnivalesque paradise, the rope swing in the living room would come out on top. Maybe it is possible to bring this feature into our homes, but whether it is attainable or not, the biggest takeaway remains the same: Whatever you do in your interiors, make sure you have fun.
Margot may have enriched our lives with Once Upon A Time...In Hollywood and I, Tonya, but now our homes can benefit from her exquisite style too. We thank you, Margot.
Sam Real and Justin Fierro of Engel & Volkers Beverly Hills hold the listing.
