Sleep is tipped to be the new wellness trend with the launch of a new Sleep Retreat in Utah
Luxury hotel Amangiri Utah has launched a three-day sleep retreat for the ultimate R&R
As sleeplessness and collective insomnia become a global concern, the wellness industry is set to prioritize sleep as the crucial component for self-care.
The pandemic has only made lack of sleep worse with anxiety and stress plaguing our minds as we try to drift off. Sleep is tipped to be the next big thing wellness and has spawned a new generation of retreats - the sleep retreat.

Hotel brands like Aman Resorts are making use of their inherent connection to sleep and rest by tapping into this growing trend. Sleep retreats have flown under the radar in the last year as travel has been almost impossible. However, a new sleep retreat in Utah has recently launched that we can't wait to try when we can travel again.
Set on 600 acres in the Southern Utah desert, near the shores of Lake Powell, Amangiri Utah sits amid colorful and dramatic rock formations, an oasis of luxury. The hotel's Restorative Sleep Retreat is a three-night experience created for those seeking improved sleep through reconnecting with the mind, body, and soul.
Led by Dr. Michael Breus, a nationally-renowned sleep specialist with three books on chronotypes and optimizing sleep schedules, the retreat begins with a pre-arrival assessment and one-on-one interview with Dr. Breus.
Guests are assigned a Chrono-type which is essentially, the predetermined sleep schedule you’re genetically inclined toward.
Days on the retreat will start with morning yoga and will take participants to the spa for cold-water plunges and other deeply restorative treatments.
Guests will also learn how to manipulate their own sleep schedule, armed with knowledge from lectures on sleep genetics, meals cooked with ingredients to enhance sleep quality, and personalized daily wake-up routines.
The goal is to emerge from the retreat rested and equipped to reduce sleeplessness in daily life.
The retreat doesn't come cheap with rates starting at $950 per person, per night. The three-night experience includes all meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner, healthy mini bar, and non-alcoholic beverages as prescribed for the program), program activities, and airport transfer service from Page, Arizona.
