The simplest way to give your bedroom a luxurious cosy update this autumn
Crisp new linens, crisp new days...
As Autumn arrives – that golden and gorgeous season – we’re all yearning for some indulgent hibernation, and that craving is even stronger this year thanks to the challenges we have all faced in recent times. Beautiful linens and towels help redefine our most intimate moments and the seven lines of Yves Delorme’s Autumn/Winter 2021 collections are ready to take the bedroom to a new level, offering a unique blend of luxury, craft and a conscientious commitment to the planet.
Yves Delorme’s standards are uncompromising, starting with its thread counts - a key marker of bed linen quality (the number of threads woven into one square inch of fabric). In the new collections, Belle de Nuit and Pour Toujours start with a 200-count, ramping up to a sensuous 300-thread count for the rest (Un Jour, Une Histoire; Ecrit de Loin; Tenue Chic; Dans le Vent, and Nuit Blanche). However for the Classic and Couture collections this can rise to as high as 500-threads, using exceptional textiles such as linen baptiste or cotton sateens and voiles.
Yves Delorme is also defined by a range of bespoke services that take the company’s art to a different level. Loved by interior designers worldwide, Yves Delorme Couture represents the pinnacle of bedlinen creation. Experts in textiles, embroidery and manufacturing collaborate on each project to create sublime and unique products, including bespoke sizes. Embroidery is one of the company’s signature skills and monogramming is a simple, elegant way to add a personal and sophisticated touch to your bedroom or bathroom. A visit to the company’s Monogrammed Linen Shop is bedlinen heaven, pure inspiration, and includes a range of ideas for gifts and the home.
Belle de Nuit: organic cotton percale, 200-thread count - soft pastel florals on a white ground, inspired by decoupage. Bed linen, counterpane, cushion, coordinating towels, bath mat and robe.
Tenue Chic: the woven damask texture combines a Prince of Wales check with a floral motif in chestnut and white. Organic cotton sateen, 300-count. Bed linen, matching decorative pillows and bed runner with coordinating towels also in 100% organic cotton.
Un Jour, Une Histoire: a joyful deep jade ground sets the tone, with exotic floral and fauna liberally sprinkled. Organic cotton sateen, 300 count. Bed linen, accessories, coordinating towels and a bathrobe.
Pour Toujours: classic ‘toile de jouy’-style print in a warm pomegranate red. 200 thread count, organic cotton percale. Bed linen, bedcover, cushion covers and coordinating towels and a bathrobe.
Ecrit de Loin: organic cotton sateen, 300-count. A contemporary collection whose name means ‘written from afar’, the design evokes exotic animals and distant lands. Bed linen with a coordinating throw, towels and a bathrobe in 100% velvet cotton.
Dans le Vent: printed soft-coloured flowers scatter across this design on a lustrous creamy background. Organic cotton sateen, 300 thread count. Bed linen with coordinating bedcover, and towels in four sizes.
Nuit Blanche: mixing floral and ikat inspiration, Nuit Blanche has a white design against a midnight blue background. Organic cotton sateen, 300 count. Bed linen, cushion covers, bed covers, plus towels in organic jacquard cotton.
